There are only a few products that can offer a sun-kissed glow as quickly as a good bronzer. The right one not only rejuvenates a dull complexion, it completely transforms your entire look. Equally the wrong bronzer, or the wrong application technique, can leave you looking flat.

Our Global Makeup Artist & Brand Trainer, Sasha Ghodstinat, explains how and when to wear bronzer for a naturally radiant Spring makeup look.

WHY CHOOSE BRONZER?

Bronzer is a great product to use if you want to add warmth to the face. It simulates the look of a natural tan for an all-round glow.

WHERE SHOULD WE APPLY BRONZER?

Apply bronzer to the high points of the face: across the forehead, on the very tops of the cheekbones, a little on the tip of the nose and finally, a small amount on the chin. Place the bronzer exactly where your face would naturally tan.

CREAM OR POWDER BRONZERS?

I will always recommend powder formulas as they tend to last longer as well as providing more control and precision. Code8's Summer Glow Bronze Powder is formulated using Knead Technology, making it buildable, longwearing and easy to blend. The four shades give a beautiful glow as the colours all have a neutral or golden undertone to them.

A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE ON HOW TO APPLY

Start by applying your base product. Opt for our Radiate Beauty Balm for a lightweight, second-skin effect or our Day-to-Night Foundation for a buildable medium-full coverage finish. Apply the Seamless Cover Concealer to any areas you would like a little more coverage. You can also apply under the eyes for a brightening effect. Apply Matte Velour Powder, if needed, to set your makeup and take away any unwanted shine. Apply your chosen shade of Summer Glow Bronze Powder. For a warm, subtle glow apply to the high points of the face: across the forehead, the top of your cheekbones, the tip of the nose and finally, a little on the chin.

EXPERT TIP: Subtly swipe bronzer onto the high points of your neck too. This will ensure the colour is natural and the overall look is harmonised.
